My Trijicon Reflex II was off getting repaired when I joined this site so I haven't put up any photos. It's the 1x24mm Reflex sight with the 12.5 MOA amber triangle reticle. I got a weaver mount for the sight so my fixed front sight post will co-witness. And prior to today (when my optic finally arrived back to me) I didn't know if it would be too low or not. Fortunately...it's perfect! Let me know what ya'll think!

From the side. The Reflex II is not very big and lightweight (4.2 ounces) versus my AimPoint M2's 7.1 ounces. I know...how much difference can 3 ounces make? Not much in the overall heft of the weapon, but now it feels like the weight is where it should be in the upper receiver, not up higher.

The clear looking front of the sight is the fiber optics made to gather ambient light to power the reticle. If no light is available, then the tritium (radioactive) inside the optic is what makes it visible.

What it looks like when shouldering the weapon. My cell phone camera wouldn't focus on the reticle, so it looks small and fuzzy. The optic's lens looks shady at the moment. The lens will shade/clear up depending on if its forward or back-lit. Perfect co-witness and reticle to front sight post alignment.

And, finally, it wouldn't be complete without this:

Looks good!
I've come close to buying one several times myself. I'd love to hear your thoughts after you've had a chance to spend a day at the range with it.

Clicker,

I spent a little time zeroing the Reflex today. I haven't had a chance to do any point 'n shoot quick kill exercises.

Here is my group and zero target from 25 meters:

And with the specific shot groups outlined:

My first group was a little... "loose"...blame it on my lack of familiarity with the optic, even then, it is still well within the 4cm shot group standard. My last 6 rounds, in groups 4&5 were in a group less than half that size.

Anyhow, about the optic. My 1x24mm Reflex II has the 12.9 MOA amber triangle. This is the LARGEST and only non-round reticle available. The other reticles are 6.5 to 4.5 MOA dots in the 1x24mm and 1x42mm optics. The 1x24 window is fine with me but if you prefer a larger viewing window, the 1x42 would definitely fit the bill.

The silhouette on the 8"x12" sheet measures 7.5cm tall by 4cm wide. At 25 meters, the 12.9 MOA triangle completely covers this small silhouette. For reference, if you look at the fixed front sight post in the 3rd picture at the top, that's about the size of the silhouette at 25 meters. When grouping and zeroing any rifle, I acquire the target by coming up from the bottom of the target and halting the reticle center mass. This is easy to do with the triangle, because the reticle is so crisp, just guide the point of the triange from the center base of the target, and stop at the same point (center mass) each time. I didn't use the bipod on the foregrip, I laid in the prone and rested the rifle on a shooting bag with the foregrip detached.

I did the zeroing at 25m because this is a quick kill reflex sight and the shots taken with this are probably going to happen well within that range. However, that little silhouette at 25m represents a full size person at 300 meters, so if you had to, you could make a <300m shot with this sight.
