Glock Gen4 Recoil Spring Recall

Glock is doing a voluntary recall of most of their gen 4 recoil springs. I know a lot of people complained that Glock tried to fix something that was never broken. It appears they have finally admitted their mistake.

No clue what they are replacing them with. I just know that some dedicated Glock supporters were not happy about the dual spring design.

I got the notice with my Gen4 G19. I emailed them about the replacement and requested a slide lock spring replacement as well. Last week my slide lock fell out of my frame while on duty and I never found it. Good thing I didn't have to use it.

At the H&H match last night, someone in our squad went to draw their glock 30 and the slide fell through their retention holster and they were left holding only the frame. It happened twice. I don't know what Gen glock it was. I also have a glock 30 (gen 2), but I have had no problems with it.
