Glock Armorer in OKC

I bought one of the problem children gen 4 g17s back in August. It had a few FTEs here and there and, of course, it would ping me in the head with brass every once in a while. I'm pretty patient, so I was going to give it 500 or so rounds to break in. Well, to make a long story short, I had a terrible time with it at a match recently. It was pretty frustrating. So I think I'm going to try to get it fixed. Anyone know of a good armorer here in the SW OKC/Mustang area that can fix it for me or should I just ship it back to the factory myself??? I've never had any issues with any guns before (Kimber, cz, sigma, EAA lol) so this is new territory for me. And I guess the irony is that it's with a gun that's supposed to be uber reliable. Figures.

Thanks for the input guys. I'll pack it up and send it back to Glock. Hopefully it's just an extractor or something and they just replace the part. Outside of this problem, though, I really do fancy this gun.

I'll take this as an opportunity to get more proficient with the DA/SA of my cz.

I just thought I'd give an update on this issue in case someone else is experiencing something similar. I did some research and talked to a Glock tech and determined that my erratic ejections/fte issues were most likely due to the factory ejector. Ejectors of the P/N 336 series were poorly manufactured or something and specs can vary. This coupled with other ejection issues that I won't get into here can cause some of the guns to operate poorly while others run just fine. Glock redesigned the ejector (or at least started building them to spec). The new ones are p/n 30274. Okay, so on to the point. I called Glock and told them my problems and they were very accommodating. They apologized and offered to send me prepaid shipping so that they could fix their mistake. Honestly this was all I wanted, to know that they were willing to make it right. The tech then told me that it would take 6-8 weeks to get my gun back to me. I don't know about you but that is an eternity to be without one of my beloved firearms. LOL. So I decided to just take the stupid thing to the gunsmith at Outdoor America and pay the $15 to get it fixed. I took it to him on a Thursday and 1 week later I had the gun back in my possession. Great service! Oh, and he also put my comp spring kit back in along with the trigger bar. I don't think Glock would have done that.

I took it out to the Heartland match last night for a trial run and it ran flawlessly. No issues what so ever. Now I just need to practice practice practice with it so I don't bring more shame upon my family. lol
