I have a Glock 17 that extracts fine when firing but when removing the mag and showing clear, the last round barely ejects. Mostly just falls out down grip. Ammo doesn't seem to make a difference. Only mod to the gun is a ghost 3.5 connector and stainless guiderod. Any thoughts as to what might cause this?

This is the most common situation with Glocks. It doesn't matter. Flip and catch is all about extractor tension and how fast you retract the slide. You could try an extra power extractor spring, if there is such a thing.

Or watch some Nationals DVDs. GMs don't care about flip/catch.

If it's doing fine during live fire, then I wouldn't worry about it.
You have to remember that the weight of the bullet intact is much more than just the brass after firing.

Thanks for all the feedback. All makes perfect sense. Just never have had it happen with my G19 or any other pistol for that matter, so all things being equal, it makes me question if something isn't quite right that could end up getting worse and giving me problems during a match.

When you Unload and show clear, you're doing it without a magazine in the gun, and that magazine and the bullets/followers that aren't there no longer support and push the case into keeping contact with the breechface via extractor. So what's happening is that the barrel unlocks, goes down, and the loaded round you're trying to eject slips down out of the magwell, and not held onto breech face contact so it can hit the ejector and pop out of the ejection port.

Dang gravity, that stuff just never stops.

My glocks work with flip catch. Even the 45 cal glocks.

The flip catch is a FTDR.

People are cool about it at matches outside the actual city limits of OKC.

I quit doing the Flip & Catch.

I just cook off the last one into the berm, that way we all know the elephant dung ain't loaded anymore.

It's just safer that way.
