Hey guys I have been shopping new sights for my g17 and need some input! Defiantly going with Dawson precision because of all the good I have heard. Right now I am trying to decide between the adjustable or fixed rear. I know with the adjustable rear it requires a taller front sight like .285 .300 .335. The .335 just sounds huge! So would probably go with the .285. Or....should I go with a fixed rear with fiber optic inserts that matches with a .205 front fiber optic sight? Would appreciate any input
Thanks

If you aren't carrying this gun, get adjustable. You'll be able to very easily fine-tune it for your ammo. And I'd get the shortest or the mid-range height front sight. Also, get as narrow a front blade as you can.

Warren is a viable option and Dawson sells them as well. Sights are really a personal thing which sight radius can make a difference. Best to find the app sight radius with the sights you want to look at. Second best is to at least sight thru the sights you are considering. Always look at many combinations of sights. What you think you might like you might not once you sight thru them or place them on your pistol with its sight radius.

Best advice I can give you is to just call Dawson! they are very helpful and they sorta have a clue about sights and different options. For a G17 I'd just go with fixed sights, if I knew what I did I'd almost shoot fixed on my G24 less crap to go wrong. Later,

Kirk
