Hi,
I'm, Jerre Peak, live in Oxford, Ala., and have been an outdoor guy all my life until the last few years. I'm going on 74 years old and have developed really bad back problems that the doctor's (4 different back specialist) have all told me that there's nothing that can be done about my particular problem. I'll just have to live with it and it's pain 24/7. Before, in my earlier years, I was in the sporting goods business for over 35 years handling all kind of firearms, archery equipment, fishing equipment, clothing, boots, etc., and enjoyed being on a lake or in the woods every day that I was off. I've always loved the 1911's and have owned many over the years.....Colt's, Ruger's, etc., until lately when my age and health has caught up with me. I just cannot rack the slide on the .45's anymore. Even though I hated to, I sold my last Ruger Lightweight Stainless Commander 1911 and bought a Browning 1911 Black Label Compact in .380 caliber. I know the .380 can't compare with the .45, but, at least I still have a 1911. I've shot the Browning about 200 times with no issues at all and it's very accurate. Thanks for your time, guy's ! Have a great day !

welcome to the show. many of us are older and have similar problems=band of aging brothers

Thanks, boatdoc ! Yea, guess "band of aging brothers" is a good slogan ! ! Never, ever, thought I'd be in this shape, but it's here.....and, life goes on. Have a good day my friend.

Welcome from central Indiana! And, there's nothing wrong with a well aimed .380! Out of a 1911, well, that's just a bonus. I saw one of those "Baby rocks" at Rural king the other day. Tempting............

Thanks, Mike D ! Haven't seen the Baby Rock, but I've read some things on it. I've been very, very, pleased with this Browning 1911 .380 that I have. Have a great day my friend !
