Get up to $2,000 for your Assault Weapon

Seems the gubbermint will give you a tax credit of up to $2,000 if this passes. I should have an old SKS laying around here somewhere....

And also have your wife do the same and file separately.

You feed tyranny every time you pay taxes or obey a Malum Prohibitum law.

This is merely us exploiting those that wish to harm us and using the cash to buy more of what they want to keep away from us anyways.

Trade $80 worth of aluminum for $4000 that can be spent buying four complete AR-15's sure doesn't sound like an anti-gun victory to me.

But it's a tax *credit*. I mean, I can see buying PTAC Blems to lower your tax bill, but that isn't quite the same as putting the $ in your pocket for more guns. Also, I predict that the tax credit will be tied to commercial value, probably as recorded by the agency you turn the stuff in to.

EDIT: I actually read the damn thing. Oh My God this is *really* not well thought out by the banners.

1. $2000/year max
2. Conversion kits count - what makes a conversion kit? The way I read it, an AR pistol grip should count. Or a shotgun pistol grip.

This word salad is what you get when folks who have no technical knowledge of what they speak cut and paste stuff from semi-related other legislation together. Which, of course, is the hallmark of the most strident antis.
