No. LOL I run a Surgeon rifle and my buddy gave me that nickname after I shaved the head off of a nail.
As far as shooting, I like long range shooting. I like to get out around a 1,000 yards.

We have a range set up out at our farm in north west Canadian county. We're about 12 miles north east of Geary. It's a lot of fun. I have been trying my hand at long range for a few years now. It is definitely a challenge. I am running a Surgeon Scalpel 308 win, Kreiger # 10 M.T.U., SF Break, and a Night Force 5.5-22x56 MRAD.

Have you participated in any of those long range precision series matches? I saw a deal on the series on Snipers Hide. It looked like a point series similar to the 3 Gun Nation series I shoot in.

I don't compete. I have been asked to, but right now I just enjoy getting out with friends and family and having a good time. Down the road, I may try my hand at competitions, but not right now.

I don't shoot the long stuff like I used too, too damn far to any ranges and that thing about fuel cost so I have been laying low for awhile. I don't have one of Preston's rifles or Nightforce optics I have Kirk built rifles and optics that work LOL shout if you need an extra buddy as I've got a 308 and 243 that could sure use a leg stretching. Will do. Right now we are running 500 yards. But we can take them out to around 985 - 990 yards.
