3-24-14... Just now making a post in the shooting log. Thought it was a great idea to remind myself on how I shoot in different conditions. Today was a great day to train, with sunny skies a little wind and temps in the mid 60s. I started the session with a little dry fire using the A.L.M.E. (Attack, lift, meet, extend) technique to get the senses warmed up.
After that I moved on to that same technique just live fire off the buzzer. Running a consistent draw with hits at 1.04 - 1.10 seconds (on a 8" plate @ 10yds). After I had that down I went on to transitions, doing 2 shots on 3 plates with reload then repeat. After a while I was having trouble finding my front sight I just had to remember hard focus and aim small miss small!! Restarted training and everything was better.
I then went on to doing 1 shot on 3 plates using strong hand and weak hand strings. Need more work on that but that will come. I have 80 days til Double Tap.
