What's up guys. My name is Paden and i'm branching out! I'm a former military sniper, currently working for the State Dept. I have never actually shot a 3-gun comp., but I am going to soon. I am finishing up my 3-gun builds as we speak. I have been shooting IDPA for about 2 years at a local gun range. Never shot a sanctioned match due to my work schedule. I spend about 9 months per year deployed overseas. SO finding time to shoot comp's has proven difficult. But anyways! I will be competing with a Glock 34 Gen 4, 20" Barreled AR15, and the always beautiful FN SLP Mark 1!

Opinions needed....

With the AR15, I currently have a Trijicon ACOG 4x mounted. Has anyone ever competed with an ACOG? Let me know what you think!

Also, need some belt rig reccomendations. Again, I'm new to this and just wanted some imput on what I should run on my belt. Thanks in advance guys!

ACOG's aren't as popular as they once were due to the convenience of the 1-4x scopes that are now plentiful.

The most popular belts are CR Speed, Double Alpha, or the new Safariland ELS.

I run one BladeTech AR mag pouch, two BladeTech Pistol Mag pouches, 5 man mountain shotshell caddys, and a BladeTech holster.

For big matches I bring an extra AR mag pouch, pistol mag pouch, and 3 Caddys.

Thanks Jesse! You, and this forum, was a big part of my motivation for coming into the 3-gun world. Since I have a "tactical" job, I run alot of tactical gear. Whenever I figure out how to add pictures on here, I will post what I am running. But basically I run a VTAC Battle Belt (Brokos Belt) w/ Blade Tech mag holsters. I had Troy Fullbright make me a retention holster that I just got actually, and its sweet! Still need to add the shotshell caddy's to my arsenal. The SLP is the newest addition to my family, and I still need a little trigger time on it, but we're getting there. Thanks again for the help! I'll be browsing the forums for additional info. Aim small, Miss small!
