All that talk but he never said...."Hey try this butt stock of mine and see if it works"...All I heard was its prob bolt bounce. With me you have to give me some guidance and just tell me what to do sometimes. I was clueless as to what it could have been.

One thing is for sure. I am glad it is fixed.
 
Come on now the first time you shot it on Saturday (in the rain storm) you called me. The first thing out of my mouth was "bolt bounce" followed by " what kind of buttstock are you running". We discussed CAR stocks vs A2 stocks and why I preferred the A2 in this situation. You were pretty well set against the use of a full size stock as I recall.

In hindsight I'm sure the reason it ran on Ken's lower was due to the heavy CAR buffer. Since I don't run many CAR stocked set ups I simply overlooked the heavy buffer thing. To show you how little the CAR stocks interest me I have a H buffer sitting idle in my parts box.

The sad thing is I had just put that UBR type stock on the Bushmaster lower you borrowed about 2 weeks earlier to check the fit. I had no real intention of leaving it that way I just wanted to get a feel for it mounted up. So had I left it configured with the A2 stock as it has been for 10 years or more you would have enjoyed the brass rainbow Tuesday and saved yourself a trip to Phillip's. Honestly I'm surprised that Phillip didn't install an A2 stock on the thing.

In the end it's great news that it's running and now it's time to assemble a collection of uppers in various calibers. (You know all the smack talk was just me jerking your chain. I can do without the velvet pillow, but some girls with Ostrich plume fans would be nice.)

Sooooooooo when are we going to the range again............uhhmmm Sunday looks good!
 
I have about 600 rounds through it so far with not ONE malfunction. It eats anything I feed it. We only did one beta mag tonight and the best part is my best friend Mike gave me a real beta mag. Not a knock off. I will admit I had to beg but he caved in after 5 minutes. Now thats what best friends do for each other.

I was going to oder it anyway...We were shooting hornady match steel cased tonight. Mike shot the beta mag with brass he had already loaded but I through it all away. Sorry Buddy. I will remember next time. That hornady shot good. Dealer cost was pretty good on it too. It was 77Gr HP.
 
Had a blast today. I can only imagine what shootzenfest is like. I wish I could have more than one visitor at a time at my club. might have to call the president and see if I can get a hall pass to have all you guys over one day.

I must say clicker that you are prone to police action. I dont know if my wife would approve of me hanging out with you. LOL. Glad I left when I did.
 
Today was another good range day...I wish I could have stayed longer...but...have to do the list or MOM get mad....

I want to know what Clicker was doing now to cause problems with the law?????

Somebody called Berkeley counties finest and told them we were shooting machine guns so they showed up and started asking questions. That is twice now for clicker.
 
Every time I let him out on his own, he causes trouble....I just don't know what to do with him...


Now, for the real issue...Can't the Sheriff's Department educate their dumb asses deputies??? They don't have a clue about what they are even looking at...so, they sure are not smart enough to ask the right questions...

Maybe the Sheriff is not smart enough to tell his people what the law is.....
