Okay, so I'm thinking about building an open M&P handgun just for fun. My question is am I better off to mount an optic to the slide or will I gain much mounting the optic on a fancy, expensive frame mount?

What game are you going to use it for? USPSA or 3gun? For USPSA I would go frame mount. I am considering slide mounting an RMR for 3gun myself due to holster options.

I think a frame mount would be better because your dot isn't reciprocating with the slide after ever shot.

That was my thinking, but I was wondering if anyone with more expertise than I had some input.... ➡️➡️➡️➡️ Frame mount for USPSA for sure, and that is what I run, and also all of the top shooters run on there guns. Also if you are going to be at Oil Capitol for the Pro Am match you are more welcome to try mine out.

OK. So frame mount it is. What are you guys using? I've only seen the carver mounts online. I already have and RMR I would like to put on it but I see the Carver mounts are not set up for and RMR.
