Ford EcoBoost F-150

Blame all the South Tulsa Real Okiesâ"¢ who drive their big manly pickup trucks to their suit-and-tie office jobs.

Also between inflation and improved safety & emissions standards, trucks weren't gonna stay at $2700 anyhow.

those guys have tinted glass, don't they?

What's the deal with you and tinted glass? :)
my original thesis was all about the sissification of the pickup culture. If we still had these pickups buggy sprung with crank windows and manual door locks - you would be squinting enough to not need the tinted glass. After all... a bruised spleen makes a guy wince a little.

A real pickup should embrace a man's "inner Spartan".

You're probably one of those guys that thinks I should just be riding my horse to the roping instead of putting him in one of those fancy-fied trailers?

Point taken... and you saw my trailer...The wheels would fall off it you put a "New" truck in front of it.

Those people from South Tulsa can drive a $50 K pickup to work.... I wonder if the office parking lots have double spaces for stock trailers and a washout station?

I used to have a 73' Ford F100 with a 351 Windsor and 12" glasspacks. It was loud as Hell and made me feel like a badass when I was 18, but I'll take my 07' with power windows and locks over the 73' as my daily driver anytime.

I've been jeep shopping out here ... We have a lot of BLM to ride.
Just caving into old age.... A Wrangler with a newfangled automatic transmission and air conditioning may be in the cards

But that still doesn't explain the mullet...

They make automatic jeeps?
Yep. Even the old CJ7s with quadratrac came with the GM400 as the only option. They had some crappy auto in the 5's just about the time they quit producing them. I think it was only in the 4 banger.
