I'm not sure X plan is that great. My dad got a loaded Lariat for $38k just through dealing with the dealership. And a lariat should be more than a FX4. Like I said on mine, I got them to come of $12k off of sticker. What is the sticker on the one you are wanting?

I put a leveling kit on mine and I didn't notice any difference in mileage. I'd put the shortest one you can find on though. Like 1.5" or maybe 2". If its truly level, it looks funky and if you out ANYTHING in the back, you'll be running uphill.

I bought my FX4 in February at about 9k under sticker. It was lower than x-plan, which I was eligible for.

Go to Ford's website and get them to send you an F-150 brochure in the mail, it should have another $750 off coupon in it. Takes a week or two to show up in the mail.

That's not a bad deal that you are getting through x plan but like Austin said, you can sometimes get them below x plan anyway.

When I was car shopping a couple years ago I considered a Ford. X Plan pricing was right around the online prices I saw. I'm sure I could have haggled and gotten a better deal than the X Plan price.

Research exactly what you want. Decide what you're willing to pay. Walk in there, tell them what you're willing to pay and if they say no, leave. Bought a new Civic a couple years ago this way and got a great deal. Bought a new turbo Sonata last week and got a good deal as well. Don't let the salesman run the show. No BS car salesman love me, others hate me. I got cussed off a car lot by a salesman a couple years ago...

Did some checking. I can get below x plan if I pick one off their lot or from their incoming inventory. Where the one I was pricing was at another dealer 100 miles away. Dealer said they have one like I want being delivered in July and he can so better pricing (below invoice) since it is out of their inventory (what ever that means). So, I told him I am also waiting on the 750 rebate coupon and we will most likely pick up the incoming one.

You won't regret it I bought one a few months ago. Mine is the 2013 king ranch.

There is a sweet spot between 35 mph and 55mph where I average 27 to 33 mpg. Highway I get about 19 to 21 mpg but it really depends on if your driving up hill. If the winds blowing head on those thing will drop you mpg. Good luck and enjoy.

I wish mine got better mileage. I have an 07 supercrew with the Triton engine. I got 18.5 mpg headin to Arkansas with the cruise set on 75
The only thing I've done to it is install a K&N air filter and a Flowmaster super 40 exhaust. I may need to check out that chip.

Mines not an EB. I have to hear the rumble of the V8 with Magnafows.

My 5.4L averages 18mpg. I don't think I could do the 6cyl for no more gas mileage difference than that.

So, going up Saturday morning after I get off work and going to haggle out the final price. Just found out a coworker is buying one almost identical in options but in white. I just would like the 20" black wheels but I guess I can wait until I smoke off this set of tires.

I will miss the Pontiac G8 and the way the 6.0 makes it haul ass.

I have a 2011 F150 4x4 with the 5.0 Coyote motor 19-20 mpg at 70 mph and 15-17 normal average. Bone stock. I drove an EcoBoost before buying the 5.0 and don't regret it in the least. The V6 felt sluggish untill the boost came up, the it screams. I just like V8's

Picked up the black on black FX4 Ecoboost SCrew. Have only driven it about 130 miles. Haven't seen great mileage on the in dash meter. Hopefully this improves with a few more miles.

I named it "Thriller". I was trying to get something to play on the sat radio and hit the 80's station. Michael Jackson's "Thriller" started to play.

It took about 8,000-10,000 miles before my mileage encreased to what i an getting today.

(rant on)... this whole $50K pickup crap is your guy's faults. You let your wifes-moms-girlfreinds start driving your trucks. Next thing you know..NO duct tape on the seats, they had to have power steering, air conditioning and tinted windows.

A real Pickup was all you needed... like my old 68 GMC. 3/4 ton factory axle, double low 4 speed transmission and "real" live axle, geared transfer case 4 wheel drive... with no running boards or sissy steps... and don't get me started about "tinted glass"...

That "real" pickup cost about $2700 ... (new) and I cried like a baby after the frame rusted through and busted in half after 25 years of service.

We did customize it over the years... a plastic cup holder thingy, rifle rack in the window and a couple of tool boxes "improved" what DEEE troit forgot to send with it over the years. And AM radio was good enough for me and Bobbi McGee. (rant off)
