Any good public fishing areas around Surrey Hills area?

Just moved there - I know Hefner isn't too far but was wondering if there are any other good places.

I have heard there are some nice bass in the golf course ponds. But getting to fish them is the trick. There's also a small pond by the community center in Yukon. I've caught some bass out of it. There's a pond near the library too. I've never fished it except for the trout fishing thing they do in march every year. If you want something quick and close, there's a pond in the new neighborhood just west of the elementary school. It's right by the pool. I have heard that there are some nice catfish in it. That's all I can think of right now. Welcome to the neighborhood! Maybe one of these evenings we can meetup to try out the pond by the pool...

Hwy 4 south from hwy 3 to the North Canadian river there are some good holes both east and west inside of walking distance of the bridge, I have caught some 60 + lbs. flats out of there. That has been a few or more years back though!

You must take me and show me this place.

Anybody get access to those flood control ponds a few miles north of Piedmont?

The one on the west side of the road just north of 220th (i think) used to be a pay to fish place. I haven't been up there in years. But it used to have an "honor box" by the gate. Just put in your $1 and go fish. The other lake straight north of Piedmont at county line road where it dead ends is now dry. They drained it last summer. It was a shame too since it was full of nice bass, crappie and catfish.
