Yesterday evening I was coming back from grocery shopping with the family and got pulled over.
My temporary tags according to the system expired on 2005!!!! Yet I got them 20 days ago!!
Anywhoo I informed the Goose Creeck police officer that I had to inform him that I had a firearm in my glove box.
He said ok ran the temp licence plate again and it came back good.

Gave back my drivers licence and said have a good day!!
Wow was I impressed with the officers proffesionalism.
Back in CT it wouldve gone ALOT different. In Ct you do not have to inform the officer unless your asked.
My experience in CT was asked to exit the vehicle and temporarily detained and treated like a criminal until they checked and tripple checked to make sure you are legal.

Everything went well so I was very happy and so was the family.

they have come to the house, when i had the neighbor from hell, and i said im carrying and the guy says "you arent going to shoot me are you?" looked at where my range was and left.

got a video for you. its not ment to be insulting, but the title is "things you need to know before moving to the south" by grubcat. mostly silly guy. watch his other one"the SHTF again".

Happy to hear all went as it is *supposed* to Cano.

I'm glad it went well, although you were not obligated to inform him of the gun in the glove box. It sounds like he was a reasonable fellow which is good to hear.

Edit to add: I realized what I said wasn't really what I meant. I assume your registration was in the glove box, so a notification may be a good idea (YMMV). What I meant was, if your registration was not in the same compartment as the gun, there was no obligation to mention the gun at all.

+2.

If you are carrying in a legal manner without your permit, no duty to inform.

If you are carrying under the terms of your permission slip the rules are different.
