Firearm Protection Act (WY)

Have no idea how to get something like this signed other then sending it to the legislature. I saw this on another forum then actually searched for the bill. Everything I have seen it looks legit.

I don't think we need a petition but we need to ask our Representatives to introduce such legislation here.

I have already asked mine.

I will defer to James (poopgiggle) on his knowledge of whether we still have time to do so this session

Perhaps I should have used a better title for this thread...maybe one of the mods can change it.

A petition couldn't hurt! Any ideas how we can start an online petition I'm not very computer savy honestly
To be honest with you, I'm not sure that on line petitions are that good.

Individual contact by one person to that persons senator or representative puts it more personal in my opinion. I may be wrong, but If I were in the office, thats the way I'd think.

UPDATE I sent a copy of the proposed WY legislation to Rep. Jason Murphey

Me:
Jason, would you consider discussing this with me regarding any pending firearm legislation in Washington?

Murphey:
Sure, you are the third person to send this to me so it is really catching on... for sure...

Yea, you're the ****in' man!

It would be better if it forbid State LE from enforcing the Federal Law (irrespective of where a gun is made).

that is
3 owned or manufactured commercially or privately in Wyoming
4 and that remains exclusively within the borders of Wyoming.

The Feds don't have the manpower to patrol the streets on their own so without the State's help, their laws don't hold much weight.

Think about it, most every Federal Criminal case started with a State LE Officer.

I had the chance to eat and visit with Rep Murphey a few years back - trying to get campus carry passed; he's a good guy and a friend of gun owners.
