CCI AR TACTICAL. It has a reshaped bullet for more reliable feeding. I have put close to 2000 rounds through my M&P 15-22. No failure to feeds at all. Fairly clean for 22 ammo. And have only had two failure to fires.

Federal bricks, they are cheap and feed perfectly through my ruger 10/22 and both Mark IIs.

They are the 22lrs Ive always bought, but anything feeds through those guns.

My Nephew and I do a lot of .22 shooting. Saturday we went thru 1100 rounds...I really don't have a favorite, but...I have quit shooting uncoated lead rounds..They are so dirty...I will use nothing but coated rounds now.

We shoot 2 10/22's a Ruger Mark II, and an old .22 single action Cowboy gun...We love them all, but, sure is no fun to clean them after shooting uncoated lead rounds...

No More Blazer's For Me...

I say Federals as well, They are about the only round that will feed flawlessly through my Ceiner and they work well in my other .22's also.

Which Federals? In the blue bulk packs, all I can find are plated HP's and LRN. I want plated round nose: plated = cleaner, round = Ciener.

Every time I buy a brick I empty them into a ammo can and I don't recall what the box looked like right now, However If you can call them that the ones I have are the plated HP's.

I like the Federal Lightning when I can find it at Wal Mart.
Mini-Mags are great if slightly pricey.
Stingers are good stuff.
I avoid the bulk box stuff when I can.
I like being able to count the rounds for ten round magazines by dumping two rows into my hand.

I like the CCI Mini Mags too, they're cleaner and one of our rifles is finicky.
Mostly we fire the bulk rounds, Federal and I think Winchester (too lazy to go look lol)

I use the CCI minimags exclusively in the Browning Medalist.

Academy has them $99 for 1600 in a Plano ammo box. (16 100 round boxes).

The Savage 64 takes whatever I have laying around.

Aguila offers plated 22LR in both HP and solids. Their subsonic ammo is hard to beat for the price.

In the past I've had good luck with the Federal bulk pack and the Winchester Super X, both are plated.

Walmart sells Federal "Auto Match" in a 325 rd box which was pretty accurate in my 10/22.

The stuff I will not buy is bulk pack from Remington.

If i need the most terminal performance I can get out of a 22lr rifle, CCI Velocitors
