Essential Handgun Skills

Tired of not improving? Of getting beat by that "one guy" that you know shouldn't beat you, ever? Stuck in a rut and don't know why?

Well, do something about it and take this class!

This class teaches you how to:

1) Find your best stance.

2) Draw smoothly and efficiently.

3) Improve your reloads such as tactical, slide-lock and slide forward.

4) Instantly detect slide-lock.

5) Properly manage recoil for rapid fire accuracy.

6) Shoot strong hand/weak hand.

After this class, you'll know how to draw and make quick, accurate shots on demand.

Maximum 12 students. No pre-requisite.

You'll nees a quality Handgun, safe holster 2 spare mags

Duration is 4 hours and 300 rds.

$100

Instructor: David Elderton. He has been shooting competition since 1982, has shot over 1000 matches, is a former cop and is NRA certified. He won his first shooting award in 1976. He has since won over 50 State and Regional titles in both IDPA and USPSA and is the current Oklahoma State Champion. He is a triple-ranked Grandmaster in USPSA. He knows how to help you improve your skills quickly and efficiently. He’ll focus on your specific needs and help you attain that “a-ha!” moment. His relaxed teaching style disguises the fact that you’re learning more than you realize and you’ll think at the end, “that wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be!”

Private one-on-one instruction available

Due to issues that made themselves apparent for the first class, sign up will be handled via email, PM and snail mail. 50% deposit is required. It is 100% refundable with at least 72 hours notice. If you can't make the class with less than 72 hours notice, then your deposit can be used for a future "Essentials" class.

Folks we still have a few spots left. Learn the Essential Skills now to avoid frustration during the match season that is almost upon us.

You can pay the 50% deposit at the match tomorrow.

If I get 12 people, then ONE person is getting the class for FREE!!!!!!!!!

It starts at 5 pm so we can go over some things that we'll utilize inside the range. It makes sense to use that hour for the non-shooting stuff when we can't use the range, instead of waiting an hour to start the class and end up going over the same stuff on the range.

We'll cover the mechanics of various aspects of shooting, so we'll have plenty to do.

I need to know if anyone else is going to take this class. It'll be a few months before there is another one like this, so if you're waiting for the next one, you'd be better off taking this one NOW!

Why are you refering to yourself in the 3rd person? lol

When will the next class be? I wouldn't be back in time from the rifle match

Having a flurry of folks wanting to get in at the last minute. The good news is, there is ROOM for a few more folks, but don't show up at 5 pm without telling me you're coming!

At this point, I do not know when the next one will be. I'll bring it up at the matches now and then to guage the amount of interest. When there are enough people, we'll hold another one.
