Essential Handgun Skills April 24th

The class was chocked full of shooting enrichment. I even got a new nickname... Tape More (vs. Taymoor). I'm sure Sandy will chime in shortly with pictures. David Elderton is truly a master of his skillset.

David's class was superb! Although I've been a shooter for many years, this was the first time I've ever been exposed to any real training on fundamentals. The consistency of my shooting improved significantly in just 2-3 hours. The fundamental training exercises were very easy to understand and implement and began to show almost immediately in my results. I also really appreciated David's common sense approach to doing things as efficiently as possible whether it's how you conduct a reload, how you get on target, how you draw or how and in what order you engage targets. Efficient, well-practiced routines translate into tenths of seconds... that yield better results at the range and may make the difference in a life or death situation. It's all very logical and worked just as he said. I was very impressed with David and the training he provided. I'm ready to sign up for the next one!

I also met several very friendly, like-minded shooters in the class which was a bonus.

This experience got me very interested in the Heartland match events and I plan to get more involved there as well.

Thanks David!

Very cool, Paul. Hope to see you this weekend at Heartland. Make sure you introduce yourself

And also welcome to the forum! "All gun talk, all the time" (well kind of)

One of the participants (Sandy C) sent me this picture to let everyone know what happens to slugs who don't pull their weight during a match. This is our very own Taymoor! I think a portion of this picture should be your new avatar.

I agree with Tape More & Paul; David's class was great! David is a very good instructor; professional, patient, and practical. He worked with each one of us individually, as well as a group. It was a great learning experience, and a fun group of people. Thanks, David for all of your help and everything you do for the matches at Heartland. We appreciate you!

For some reason I thought Sandy was a member here already. I'm surprised to see she only has 3 posts.

I appreciate the positve comments on the class!

It was a fun one and we got 300 rds or so downrange. (learning from each and every one, of course!)

But there seems to be a bit of misunderstanding, so let me clear up the "Tape-More" thing......

Taymor was not a slug. In fact, he did more taping than anyone.

Of course, I only had them tape the hits that were outside the "A" zone......... ;D
