Picked up a new pistol today and ran out to the range to try it out. Field stripped it and cleaned and oiled per owner's manual. Easy to take-down and re-assembly. Built on the CZ 75 frame, SA/DA. DA trigger pull long but smooth with no grittiness. Broke clean if not crisply. SA trigger pull about 5lbs but again smooth. Accuracy with the 3.8" barrel at 7yds was very good with 4.5" group with rapid fire. Slow fire was very accurate with all in the 10 ring or touching. Did some fall back and fire from 5ft back to 30ft with reasonable results for an old man(I didn't fall on my butt) all in the D1 kill zones. Moving laterally and firing was acceptable. Left to right was easier than right to left since I'm right dominant. The pistol performed with zero malfunctions using Precision One 9mm reloads, my reloads, jacketed hollow point reloads and factory hollow point loads. Holds 13+1.
It was a blast to shoot and my Son-in-law and I both liked the pistol. Purchased off Gunbroker.com it was 230.00 dollar and is now up to the approx. 295.00 range. SAR (Sarsilmaz) is the same Turkish company that makes the AR24. If you get a chance to try one out I think you'll like it.

That is fantastic, Dave. I'd like to give her a test drive if we can ever end up at the range at the same time! It was great seeing you today, my friend...Jeff.

Nice review Sir!

With the exception of not having ambidextrous safety and mag releases, it seems very similar to Ruger's SR22 in some respects. My wife would probably take to it nicely for that reason. We'll have to keep that in mind for future reference! By the way, how did the slide pull feel to you?

I hate to say it but racking the slide is not "easy". It may loosen up with use. It is a fairly tight and has a strong recoil spring. Like the CZ 75 the slide rides inside the receiver so not a lot left to grab when racking. That being said, I still feel it a good piece for the price but hand strength needs to be 4+/5 to use it.

That was my wife's problem. She first was racking the Glock 22- no problem. Got her SR22, nice and easy still. Went to try a Walther PPK/S and couldn't do it, but picks up the Glock 21 and racks it plain and simple! I never realized that some of the smaller sized/calibered semiautos could be that way- at least from my perspective.

Thanks for answering that question for me, it sure helps a lot of people out knowing that kind of info! 8-)
