Double the Fun at SCRAP

Hey everyone, the stars have aligned and the shooting gods have arranged the calendar this month where our Steel Challenge match will be held on Saturday and our USPSA/IPSC match will be on Sunday. Usually these are a week and a day apart.

So if you want to head south this weekend, looks like the weather will be mid 50's, you can get in a lot of trigger time with 4 stages of Steel Challenge on Saturday and another 100+ rounds of USPSA on Sunday. Both matches will begin at 10:00 am on their respective days and end approximately 1:30pm.

And we turn our Steel Challenge Scores in! So if you want to see your name on the SCSA ranking system, bring your center fire pistol and shoot Steel Challenge with us. Of course you are always welcome to shoot your rimfire as well. Should be a fun weekend though.

What is this Steel Challenge ranking system you speak of?

If you go to the Steel Challenge website and click on the "Results" tab, then select "Member Ranking and Match Stanging Report", then "display ranking", you will get a listing of the national ranking for members who have shot a match and the scores were turned in. It assumes 120 for a score until you turn in a better time on a stage. So the ranking is a cumulative of your best times on any given stage.

It's not not a classification system yet, but they insist they are still working on that. Centerfire scores only for count. Rimefire scores are posted for our matches but don't count toward the ranking system.
