I cleaned it at 3 and 4 yards last week. I stopped there........figured I shot it twice perfect :)
Love this drill!! Haven't done it since November and didn't do as well!

This is a great drill....I first saw it in a class with a PD I was able to sit in. I use it in my classes to show clients that they can take a box of ammo to the range and work some essential skills.

Stay safe!

Found a here in Lawton finally so I have decided I am going to go out and run this drill at least once a month. Don't have a timer yet so I won't be shooting for time just yet. I just want to improve my gun handling and accuracy. I think I am also going to work in the x drill to work on target transitions.

I did the dot drill for the first time today.

Good scores! Did you learn anything?
My overall tendency is probably slightly low left. I need to practice acquiring sights after drawing and target transitions. You can tell from both targets that just aiming and shooting isn't a problem. (Dot #1) When I finished, I shot my 1911 at a blank 8.5x11 piece of paper at the full distance (30yds) and hit it 6 out of 8 times.

This is the first time I've ever done "drills" instead of just shooting.

Also, the distances aren't exact because H&H doesn't have hash marks on the ground. I wish they would paint yard lines like a football field.
