Door Pockets

I got stuck at home today and finally got around to finishing a little project I had been thinking of for a while. A shooting buddy of mine gave me some packing foam that his company gets on a regular basis. I wanted a secure place to keep some extra magazine, this is my first attempt at making something useful out of the space. What do you all think?

I like it, but I wouldn't like people seeing it when I have the door open or thru the opposite door window when the vehicle is unoccupied.
Maybe some type of drape or cover for entering/exiting & when the vehicle is unoccupied?

Yeah, I'm looking at it in an everyday guy type application.
Perfect in a patrol car as is.

opening or exiting would be the only problem, you can't see it from the passenger window, 5% window tint seems to solve that issue and it's not visible from the windshield area either. I'm not really worried about people seeing my extra magazines, I am also buying an electric lock for my AR, like what is found in patrol cars. I am also going to make something similar for my G-Ride...

True, but if you're anything like me you won't want to damage the underside of the dash by putting screws in it.
I know you can't see it, but that would bug the crap outta me knowing there are wood screws under my dash.

I like keeping everthing in the car "down-low"... cameras, gifts, computers...prying eyes and all. If OK allowed that max window tint you would have a winner there.

good industrial velcro will keep little stuff up under the dash.

I totally had this idea a while back, when I was still carrying my M&P 45 as my cc. I used to put it in the door panel as to be more easily reached when need but it tended to slide and shift. I was thinking about a way to do what you have thereI thought maybe like a curtain. Just a piece of gray/black cloth on a rod, easily moved but conceals when in place. I like this idea, if you start making them for real let me know...Ill be in the market.

I'm making the assumption this is Chris's patrol car... I definitely wont put holes in my personal vehicle. I've also seen seat covers modified with molle on the front.

95 chevys changed the interior to the plastic door lock instead of the chrome plated.
