Don't ever shop at Dick's Sporting Goods again

Apparently people are also getting $100 gift cards to say "sorry" for screwing you over. I have not seen one, nor do I expect one.

FYI, I'm still standing by my boycott of Dick's Sporting Goods for when they yanked all their EBR's (evil black rifles) off the shelves in response to Sandy Hook. And I'm boycotting CVS for taking tobacco off their shelves. Even if you don't shoot AR's or smoke, you should protest with your wallet these companies' contributions to the chipping away at our freedom of choice.

Now, had they said they were discontinuing carrying these products due to lack of interest/sales, I would have no issue with it. But they think they are taking some moral high ground... CVS appears to be using it to slander their competition.

No big deal about CVS and tobacco products. Besides, I'm sure they were a lot cheaper at plenty of other places. However, CVS is the best around here in regards to prescriptions and related stuff. So, you might not want to be too hasty about abandoning them.

Don't really care for Dicks much but I do buy golf shoes from them every couple years. As far as CVS, cancer as a result of smoking just killed my mother-in-law this year so I could care or less if anyone is allowed to sell cigarettes any longer. Just a legal and addictive deadly drug in my opinion. But, to each his own I guess.

Sorry to hear about your tragic loss. I didn't mean to say that tobacco was a good thing. I was just putting CVS into the category with Dick's, taking product off their shelves to market their competition as evil for not doing so.

For that matter, I wouldn't be the least bit suprised if a few folks had died from prescriptions filled at CVS and maybe even baseball bats bought at Dick's.
