I don't even know how many 1911s I have anymore. Below is one shelf of one safe.
I have a shooty collection so I sort of work around that, like taking three Colt XSE LW Commanders out and shooting them on the same day. One in 45ACP, one in 38 Super, and one in 9mm.
Or taking a 1988 GCNM in 45ACP out and shooting it next to a 1990 Delta Gold Cup.
Or taking a 1979 GCNM MkIV Series 70 I bought new in 79 and shooting it on the same day with the same ammo next to one I bought new in 2015.

True. Honestly, there are only a couple, well, maybe 3 or 4 other 1911's I really want. Then I will branch off into other directions for my handgun "collection".

I am currently at 3 with one on order. I keep thinking of the Wolf of Wall Street scene "you gotta pump those numbers up." I have a list that I want, but my lgs and friends seem to always find a distraction for me. The most recent being an Anschutz LH rifle that I could not pass up. There should definitely be an official collections thread
