Dick's Sporting Goods coming to OKC

Went to the North Penn grand opening today. Basically Academy with different house brands. No handguns. No reloading paraphenalia. Lotsa North Face gear. Oh and free Chic-Fil-A coupons at the door.

Went to the one on 19th in Moore.

Meh...it was a slightly higher Academy.

They did have Ibaka and Perry Jones there takin pics with fans. Probably what drew the big crowd. I didn't buy anything either.

Again...meh!

I have two $10.00 off purchases, one for $20, and one for $25, I'll go cash them in if they have any defensive handgun ammo, but from the looks of it on their website, they don't have much to choose from.

I've read that one of the store clerks told a guy that the WWB .40 ammo was a special buy. Its supposed to be the most powerful ammo out there, and used by all of the Government agency's. LOL!

I went to the one in OKC with the wife today. It was just like the one in STL. Ammo was higher then at Academy and not alot to choose from.

But then again, before we left to go, we read the $10 off coupon, it does not apply to ammo, firearms and a whole list of other things. Needless to say, I won't be going there even out of curiosity.

One in Broken Arrow. Cant hold a candle to Academy Sports. Grandson (9yrs old) likes to go there so he can play with everything. Dont waste your time, I was told they do not carry long guns now.

Pretty sure from what I've seen there will be some new empty buildings here in Okc. I was in Academy the other day and it was packed! hadn't been in a Dick's sporting goods so I stopped by and there were maybe 20 folks in there, prices were higher than I thought and well not much I'c care to purchase.
