In practice this week my 712 went full auto. Now when I drop the bolt the hammer follows. If I ease the bolt forward the hammer stays back but the trigger is dead. Didn't have time to crack it open yet. Anyone got any ideas?

And yes, for that brief moment, it was rediculously cool!!

Disconnector might be broken

And even though it is "full auto" it isn't timed properly and is unsafe. You could have out of battery kabooms.

So you should fix it soon for 2 reasons: 1) safety and 2) federal prison.

And I don't think it would be very welcome at the area 6 match in a few weeks. Of course I'm fixing it soon.
I thought about the disconnector, its catching a little since I can ease the bolt down without the hammer follow. But I'm not sure if the trigger would be dead. Could be broken and jamming it up I guess.

If the trigger mechanism is the same in the CZ712 as it is in th CZ720, it might be that the hammer is not catching/locking back correctly.
I had this problem a couple of times with my 720, using it to shoot skeet, it would fire, eject reload, and fire again. After the second time I quit for that round of skeet.
I bought a new triger mechanism from CZ-USA and it has solved the issue. After looking at the old mechanism, the catch that holds the trigger back looks like it is just worn out. Maybe the guy that had it before me polished it to much to make the trigger smoother, I don't know. But, I bought a new triger mechanism from CZ-USA and it has solved the issue.

Yeah, but I've got $500 in a fun little gun that allowed me to get into 3 gun. Ill keep it regardless. I did talk to CZ today and they said they would take it back no problem. But I have the area 6 match in a few weeks so they are sending me a hammer to replace what they suspect is a broken one. Now, does anyone have a tutorial on taking apart and (more importantly) putting back together a cz trigger group?

Got home today and pulled it apart. Hammer cracked. Looks like it's allowing enough flex to release from the disconnector. CZ customer service already has one on the way to me.
