CTR-02 presentation grade finish

My ctr shipped out yesterday. I was wantin to get the presentation grade finish but they aren't doing any extra finishes for a while. Plus it's $600. So my question is: is there a way I can do that myself or does mike Cyrwus do that stuff? It seems like I could just sand off the finish to bare the metal. And with it being aluminum would I have to put a finish on it? I wouldn't think so. Thanks for the help

A buddy bought a used CTR-02 with the presentation finish. In my opinion it's not worth the $. If you are dead set on it I'd wait it out and send it back after the rush and have JP do it if that's possible.

KurtM probably knows the process they use for that finish.

I would worry more about shooting it till the barrel falls off than the kind of finish on it, especially at $600.

Yes you will need a finish on it. I know it looks cool and will polish up, but it will not last long and it will oxidize pretty quick.

+1 on that. I've fab'd several aluminum pieces for Harleys, Amps, Guitars and you'll be polishing more than shooting I would imagine.
