That civil defense 50 grain must be the one that pops lungsout!
Sorry, I thought this was someone else, never watched this guy. Maybe I should???I really like this guy! His tests are informative, and down to earth. Cannot believe he doesn't have a larger audience.
Ok home from church, and Sunday dinner. This is incredible! I'm going to hit subscribe button. I really like him.Sorry, I thought this was someone else, never watched this guy. Maybe I should???
I'm thinking that's a fabulous ideaI'm not running any of my own tests on this stuff for $2+ $$ a round. I'll stick with my Gold dots or HST's.
Interesting to say the least. That 7.62x25 surplus ammo is crazy stuff.Nice video…
I disagree, That Civil Defense 9MM+P punched through a 3A plate and then left a wound channel that is huge.Looks like the 50 grain round blew up on impact, be nice to see a slow motion video to see what it did in entirety. Might not be a good self defense round, just a good video…
I re watched the video. that 9mm round was devastating, but the 7.62x25 was even worse, and it was a fmj I believe. I'm not sure if that old 7.62x25 is still made anymore. That Civil Defense 9MM+P is current stock. PSA has it for $1.50 a round. I looked it up on ammoseek, a lot of people have it in stock.I re watched the video. that 9mm round was devastating, but the 7.62x25 was even worse, and it was a fmj I believe. Crazy good video.
If you have a chrono I would like to know what it is pushing out of a 16" I'm not sure if that guy was using a 16" or not.I saw some 50gr. 9mm bullets FS on a website....didn't see the point.
Maybe I should order some, next time I see them.. be fun to experiment in my 9mm AR carbine.
Like wiseI don't know how reliable that light of a bullet will operate the slide on a 1911. It would cost a lot of $$$ to prove it out for a SD round on your guns. I'm sticking to what I use.
I would try the rounds if I had a 9mm 1911. If nothing else, to find out if it works. PSA has them for $30 a box. Just checked I was wrong, not in stock.I don't know how reliable that light of a bullet will operate the slide on a 1911. It would cost a lot of $$$ to prove it out for a SD round on your guns. I don't need it, I probably wouldn't buy it. Gotta say it made a great video, but I personally don't have a use for it. I do appreciate you checking into that for me though. I'll stick to what I've been using. I know this is a whole different subject, but a while back I found some Federal XM9001 ammo while I could still get it. It's the Canadian Federal 9bp+p. Haven't tried it yet, but bought it for my Glock. Couldn't find the +p+ stuff though. That'd be the hottest I'd probably go. I generally stick to standard pressure ammo.I'm not sure if that old 7.62x25 is still made anymore. That Civil Defense 9MM+P is current stock. PSA has it for $1.50 a round.
