Comp for my AR?

Well, along with many other lessons I learned today, I think I need a screw on comp for my M-4 configured AR. The AAC flash hider I have on there now is great for mounting the Advanced Armament .223 can but does nothing to decrease recoil or prevent muzzle flip. What are some of the favorite comps out there for a 16" light barrell AR?

The Rolling Thunder and SJC comps are very popular and work well... I ran a Rolling Thunder on my 10.5" rifle for awhile and it worked great! It was riculously loud and was a lot like getting punched in the face every shot due to the short barrel length, but it did it's job very well...

I prefer the sjc Titan but the rolling thunder comp is great also. I would go with one of those

The Titan or the rolling thunder. If you've got an aac can, they make a suppressor mount brake.

Thx for the info! Went to AAC's website. Think I'll go with the BRAKEOUT™ 51T Compensator. Should help and my M4-2000 can will still fit. Thx again guys.

I have a AAC Brakeout on a M4 carbine. I am thoroughly disappointed with it. Compared to my SJC Titan it does nothing. Does a so, so job of suppressing flash. Looks cool though.

The Miculek brake will get you the best Bang for your Buck. Very effective at reducing recoil and the price is right.

you might as well interview kids at a day care rather than look on m4 carbine about what brake actually works.

I have heard good things about the battle comp, although I have no first hand experience with them so take that for what It's worth. Personally I prefer a flash hider to a comp. But I also don't compete, so its not really an issue for me.

I don't have a lot of experience with comps - as far as I know I've only shot two. I bought two of the effin-A comps through a group buy here and tuned the one on my carbine, or at least I thought that I had. Took the day off and went out to Ft Sill to bust the cherry on my new Stag 3G upper (THAT I ONLY BOUGHT BECAUSE JESSE TOLD ME TO! A nonpaid political ad in case Stag trolls this thread later and not approved by any candidate or candidates committee). What a difference! Shot side by side with my carbine and there is no comparison. Thanks Jesse!
