Anyone going this weekend? It is at the Armory by the stadium. It was well worth it last time because of the different vendors than the jamil and fairground shows. I should be there Sat morning. Will be wearing a worn Larue Tactical cap.

Thanks for the heads up and the coupon. I have gotten kind of tired of the Jamil Temple gun and knife show so maybe that'll be better.

The Jamil Temple show is promoted by South Carolina Arms Collectors Association, fairgrounds is promoted by Mike Kent and the new armory show is promoted by Gunrunners,Inc.Lots of vendors will only deal with one or two promoters so you will have some different vendors at each show.
I am told that Mike Kent banned some of his vendors who would not boycott Gunrunner shows.I will not go to a Mike Kent promoted show for this reason.Attempts to stifle competition in that manner are not fair.I emailed Mr. Kent asking for a reason but never got an answer.

I went to the Gunrunner show in Greenville. It cost an extra $2 to get in and there was NOTHING. Is the Columbia one any better?

I thought it was pretty good last time. But, you have to remember that I have been craving different vendors and I have Palmetto State Armory 5 min's from the house. It was worth it to me.

Someone please post how the show is Saturday. I'm thinking of going Sunday but dont want to drive from Gaffney to Columbia if there aren't many vendors or if everything is overpriced or just a bunch of knives and lasers. I like used guns and reasonably priced ammo and reloading supplies so someone please post on the quality of the show. Thanks!

I've done OK lately but I tend to buy old stuff that some people are too lazy to look up.

I went to this show, I think it was in mid-March. It was not for me. There were very few people actually selling guns - maybe 10 or so vendors. Plenty of airsoft and ninja stuff. A few places were selling ammo and reloading supplies.

We stood in line to get in, and while we were there, people were coming out saying don't waste your money.

So it all depends on what you are looking for....

I drove to Columbia from Charleston just to go to this show...I sure wasted my gas...

Only about 5 places selling guns...and no ammo dealers...except the people who sell 20 year old ammo just bunched into boxes...kind of pick through till you find what you need. I saw 1 box of .45 long Colt ammo. I think the box was 10 years old and it was priced at $40.00...OMG what a joke...

I did do some gun trading...I am now the proud new owner of a .....Kimber...in 5"...

Don't even waste your time going ...

I live locally and was unable to go today (did manage to swing into PSA and pick up a new stock, though) and was going to go tomorrow....but not now. Sorry you guys had to suffer for the benefit of the rest of us.

Thank you for the good advice and for your likely $8 sacrifice that's going to keep me from driving 100 miles. I'll be spending the day with the greatest woman I know, Mom! Happy mother's day everyone!
