Clocking a Compensator?

yes, but how and where you hold the rifle, particularly the forend, determines how big the side hole is and on which side you drill it.
The top holes I dont bother with
Roger That. We are in agreement then.

In my previous comment when I said it didn't matter where your hand was I misspoke. You can tune those holes based on where your hand is. In the big scheme of things it doesn't matter as the sights still move a bit even when the comp is perfectly tuned.

DUMB QUESTION ALERT!!!!! If I'm working up my own load for the rifle (Uh, huh. He said..."working"), does it make sense to do the drilling on my RT comp after finalizing the load recipe, or is there a small enough difference in pressure waves between rounds that it won't make a difference? And can I expect the POI to change if I drill the comp after zeroing the rifle? I've always been taught to eliminate as many variables as possible, but I'm too dumb to know if this one will have any effect at all. Thank you.

That's weird. It shows the last reply was to finish the load before messing with the comp and it shows me as posting that. Son of a cat lady, have I started answering myself online too? Yes. No. Hell, I don't know.
