Civil War era reproductions

For a long time i've had a MEAN hankering to get an 1861 Enfield musketoon and a pair of LeMat pistols. All I have though is a .62 double barrel caplock pistol. Haven't got the chance to fire it yet, someday soon I hope. I did get to fire a reproduction Colt 1860 Army .44 pistol a long time ago, it was a mighty fine pistol. You just have to go by the book when loading and preparing them to fire, it is too easy to hurt yourself when you're going old school. Can you imagine how many idiots would hurt themselves with them if the modern stuff was suddenly replaced with black powder firearms? Even the gun control nuts would be begging for the evil stuff back!

In case nobody noticed, I'm a long time follower of General Stuart and CSA cavalry. Been that way since I was knee high to a grasshopper(I'm still pretty short too, just ask Frost  ).

I have an 1853 Remington pistol repro in .44, use to fire it a lot. Been wanting a smith carbine or a Maynard carbine to shoot. Seeing if anyone in the area liked shooting these type of firearms.

i had, long ago, plenty of fun with a .36 cal Navy Dragoon.

now its just 2 inline Wolverines. .50 cal

I was in the North South Skirmish Association for a little while before we moved. Haven't seen anyone shooting that in this area.

I've always wanted one of these

These were not bad either

Some gentlemen had a nice tent setup at the "Battle of Charleston" with these on Display. They were nice enough to note my enthusiasm and let me hold them.

Very cool. I missed that event unfortunately. Dixie Gunworks sells pretty nice repros though.

If there were enough people interested, maybe even try to form a North South Skirmish team out of the Charleston area even.

Being a former Army artilleryman, I've always wanted to join a civil war gun crew. Looks like a good time.

Some buddies of mine used to go down for the Gettysburg reenactments with a 3" gun that they had. Unfortunately, they were them damn yankees! :x

I don't see them any more though, LONG LIVE THE SOUTH!!!
