Cimmarron Bullets and tite group

Will they work together. I hear lead bullets need special powder so I'm curious even though cimmarron has a poly coating. Just curious.

I load bayou bullets that are coated with titegroup for 9 and 40 they work fine with minimal smoke. So long story short yes it will work. Start at load minimum and work to where you want to go

Titegroup is fine for coated bullets. Waxed lead, not fine at all.

just like it sounds.
think of coated as a polymer paint.
lead bullets have a ring around the body thats filled with a wax lubricant to help lead bullet/barrel friction.
wax can be prone to turn to smoke, some say.

yes, some folks like wst more for polymer bullets; I think they all smoke unacceptably compared to jacketed ammo.

You'll just have to try it. If you can see the last target of a 3 target array, it's probably ok....maybe.

I loaded both lead & coated bullets over Bullseye for a minute. Bullseye is a fast-burning powder that smokes even more than Titegroup with lead bullets (if you can believe that).

It wasn't terrible with coated bullets.

You will have to try it and see how much they smoke. Stay within safe hand loading guidelines and decide if you can tolerate the smoke and see the targets. I didn't have good luck with Titegroup and hard cast lead, so I didn't try it with coated. May not smoke much or any. It's not unsafe to shoot, just annoying with a lot if smoke.

If you have to wait for the smoke to clear to get your sight picture on the last target in the array, then it's probably not OK

Relax, breathe, do some load development, test said loads, adjust accordingly, and you will see just what everyone is telling you.

If, by asking about others experiences with said powder, you are trying to confirm or deny that you should or should not buy Titegroup and load your match ammo with it, then present the crowd with that question.

Everyone's perceptions are different, but all roads lead to TiteGroup produces "some" smoke.

TiteGroup is only one of the best selling powders for action pistol shooting along with WST and N320 for a reason.

It's consistent in performance, it has a fast burn rate allowing for lots of rounds to be loaded per pound i.e., a little goes a long way, it meters extremely well, and it is versatile enough to be used across calibers and divisions.

Acquire a pound of it and check it out.

Having ammo to practice and compete is your optimal goal. Keep that goal in mind during your introduction to high volume reloading and competitive shooting.

What I meant to ask was, I have Tite group and looking at getting some Cimmarron bullets.

I understand that with any explosion there's going to be smoke, I ju at wanted to see if people's loads look like a Civil War black powder going off.
