a bike I can ride on the street without a bunch of chrome or plastic elephant dung on it

Seriously, is there any bike out there that would meet that requirement other than an early indian, Pan head Harley, or Harley 45?

I'd seriously love to find a Yamaha RD 350 or another Suzuki 650 Water Buffalo..

Both the fastest in their day.

My old RD 350 would embarrass Honda 750's back in the day.

The 650 Suzuki was my drag bike. Acceleration was so quick, it was hard to hold on to the handlebars.

I almost got my ass handed to me by one myself. Yamaha 750 Seca was my ride at the time and it was the fastest production 750 ever when it came out. RD350s are freaks! If he would have beat me off the line he would have beat me.

I had to look up what this is.

A 2-stroke engine with that kind of displacement must have been terrifying.

My little brother came home once with a 500cc Kawasaki dirt bike. I rode it a total of one time, never got out of first gear and said never again. Dad said I was a sissy and didn't make it 20 feet before it ate him. I was never so happy to see something leave in the back of somebody else's truck.

1/4 mile - 9.1 seconds was the best at Thunder Valley @ 160mph while still street legal. Rode it to the race.
