Reviewing the match participation for the last year, I've noticed a trend: shooters have shaped this match into what they want it to be. They want to shoot their full size guns from open holsters and they want to shoot a LOT.

Instead of bucking the trend, I've decided to embrace it!

Since Open Carry begins November 1st, this is the perfect time to officially acknowledge those that desire to shoot those guns from those holsters. We will do so by having a higher round count, typically 24 rds per stage, and changing "Other" division to only cover the guns that would be classified as "Open" division in USPSA. (PDLL excepted)

Please understand, the six existing divisions WILL NOT CHANGE, aside from letting Benjamin shoot in "Hicap" from his DOH holster, there will be no changes.

If you want to shoot your 5-shot snubby, you'll still be able to do so and be competitive.

Basically, the only changes will be the OPTIONAL higher round count, allowing DOH rigs and allowing Open division guns.

If you've stayed away from this match because you felt your Limited or Open gun and DOH or Race holster wasn't welcome, come on out!

We will have a battlefield pick-up, option targets for a time bonus, (with a twist) a new rendition of an all-time stage favorite and maybe a surprise or two.....

I've been thinking.....what other match has:

Had a flashlight stage?

Had photo targets of real people portraying real life situations?

Had zombie targets? (including zombie Santa!)

Had battlefield pickups, from a .22 rifle to 9mm handgun to AK-47?

Had a battlefield pickup with a FULL AUTO MP-5 that costs $15,000?

Had a DOUBLE pickup stage with a suppressed rifle and suppressed pistol?

Had photo targets of terrorists?

Including a BLEEDING Osama Bin Bleedin target?

Had "option" targets that deducted seconds from the overall stage time?

Allows rimfire pistols AND rifles?

Allows pistol caliber carbines?

Allows suppressed rifles and handguns?

Has had a couple "Tactical 2-Gun" shoots.

Hosted 3 (so far) Snubnose Championships?

Allows snubby shooters to actually be competitive?

Not including match certificates, has given away various prizes and trophies multiple times, including a year long Family membership to Heartland Outdoors, totaling several $1000's of dollars?

Continues to give away 3-7 Gift Certificates worth $50 each at every match?

To date, we've given away more than 250 certificates, totaling over $12,500. (Yeah, that surprised me, too.)

These are a few of the things that popped into my head. Obviously, I couldn't have done all this without various people making it possible, but the fact remains.....NO other match has offered what this one does.

If you've been away for awhile, or been wondering about it, come shoot with us!
