I'll be there. Hopefully I'll put more of a death grip on the 1911 and tame the recoil. The G17 doesn't really require any effort at all.

Yep, definetly leaving my comfort zone, ya'll may see a new record for slowest shooter in the west!
Don't think I'm gonna make this one. I just found out that my "kind of adopted" brother is coming home for a visit. He's in the Navy and lives in Norfolk VA, but he's been at Mid-South training facility in Mississippi and this is as close as he's been in over a year.

I'm planning to be there as well. It will be my first match... It should be a lot of fun. I'm not going to worry too much on where I finish (this first time anyway...
)... I just want to have a good time and soak it all up so I can get better. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people who enjoy the shooting sports like me.

Will do. I'm really getting excited about this. I've got a kytac holster and 3 kytac mag holders... And ordered a thick belt earlier in the week. I'm going to upgrade my sights but haven't made up my mind on what to go with yet. I like the Warren w/ fiber optic front that David E. suggested. I've also looked at the xs sight with large dot tritium front sight. They are so different and I'm having a hard time deciding which one to put on my glock 34.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
