Carrygun AND Tactical 2-Gun Match Heartland Outdoors August 19th

Found a deal on a 45 frame 22 so I will try it out this time along with my 22 rifle......
Fun Shoot even if I am slow, I do show up every week and sometimes bring cookies.

GSG-1911 It funcetions in the back yard and seems to shoot straight so I hope it functions at the match! I did change the front sight as it was shooting low but it comes with 3 different heights. Also got 3 extra magazines from Joe Bob Outfitters out of Kansas.

That's what I shot last time too. FWIW, dropping the mags even on the rubberized floor at Heartland would sometimes make the floorplate move and wouldn't take much for it to fall off. Always check them after they hit the floor.

I also had a live round in the mag when it dropped one time and it popped off. Couldn't see any damage to the mag, but it was definately weird. Now I figure my rounds I want in the first mag, or shoot it to slide lock before I let them hit the ground since that happened.

I really like shooting mine, enjoy!

I got a new Strikefire the other day from Steve so I will be bringing my Sig 556 SWAT Patrol (suppressed) and shooting it tonight as well. And yes, I will be wearing a kilt tonight.

David, if you do make a prone position, I'll wear boxers underneath just for that stage.

I wish I could have made the match. Too many things going on. Bought a house and moved mom in with us and just haven't made time to shoot. Trying to get her used to Oklahoma and dealing with docs. No excuse I know. Be there soon.

Thanks to everyone for coming to the match! The swinging port proved to be more challenging this time and there was an Option target for the pistol shooters. Hit it from the close box, you got five seconds off your time. Hitting it from the far box got ten seconds deducted.

Oh, and those exploding plates!

Stay tuned for an announcement of "Terrorist Take-Down 2012" where we will once again use an AK-47 to shoot Bin Laden in the face.

Also, on the 5th Sunday in Sept, we will have an extra Carrygun match in conjunction with the "100 Rd Burn-Down!"

I had fun but I think I'll stick to the pistol shooting instead of the tactical 2-gun.

It'll be a year or so before we do another Tac Two-Gun. Plenty of time to resolve the rifle issues you had. The suppressor was cool, tho!

And thanks again for wearing boxers under your kilt......

I gotta say, those exploding "plates" were cool!
Your target stand design worked perfectly for the rifle shooters.
Oh, and those exploding plates!

Okay, I admit, Those exploding miniature plates were cool, but... Dang they were Little. I think I shot about 30 rounds to hit those 6 plates.

Thanks for doing the match David! It was fun and enlightening as always.
Thanks for taking care of the scores Benjiman.

30 rds? Sounds like you got to shoot more than anyone else for the same money! Way to maximize your "shot per dollar" ratio!
