Carry choice w/ suit

if i am wearing a suit i will probably be dead and in a coffin, maybe my wife will ask the funeral home to holster me up?

If I'm wearing a suit, I'm going somewhere where the gun is not allowed. That generally means Daytimer carry for the HK. As I lose the weight, I just tell folks that the baggy polo shirts id due to that.

Here is a lesson learned, I got my first concealed carry permit when I lived in Indiana in 1989. I always carried strong side IWB because I read it was better, blah blah... Any how I got used to it and thats where I carry still. (unless it's a pocket holster) But my wife at the time thought she would get me a shoulder holster for Christmas. Goody right? Well the very first day I wear it under my jacket I got to some Quickie Mart to get a Ho Ho or something and reached for my wallet in the left inside pocket of my jacket and pay for my Ho Ho and Yoohoo and leave in sugar heaven About a mile away I get pulled over by two scout cars and there are two of Kokomo's finest with guns drawn. I spilled my Yoohoo and nearly pooped my pants! I follow their instructions and when asked where my firearm was I said RIGHT HIP. Wrong!!!! Now they are pissed. After a huge ordeal, mucho explanations and a complete check out. I was let go. The clerk at the store saw a glimpse of the pistol when I reached for the wallet and called me in. I had a permit but the police were not happy I lied as to where my firearm was...
Threw that holster away when I got home and carry in the same place always. What if I really needed it and reached for where I am used to it being? Just a thought when changing firearm carry location. Maybe I am just too simple minded.

I would and do definitely change my carry gun based on the dress for the occasion. I usually go with a small, flat auto for dressy occasions, such as my SA Ultra Compact. It doesn't print much under even a long t-shirt. If on the belt is out, I go with the S&W BG380. Fits right into a back pocket(or front for that matter) and gave me the excuse to get another gun.

Same here. Back when I had a couple carry options, I switched between an XD and an LC9 depending on wardrobe.

Ok mods move this if needed. I think i'm about to derail this thread but here it goes.
The topic is CARRY CHOICE so as there is another thread for holsters i will say this.
My prefered carry has been for many years a S&W .357 mag combat model loaded with .38's as they will do the job.
Before that it was a Browning .40 with all the bells and whistles.
Now just this week i can move over to my M&P.40. Strong side has always worked for me.

Right now because i kept the holster from the browning .40 i'm going OWB.
But i'm looking for a new holster since this one is just a bit tight.
IWB or OWB dont know as yet kinda open to ideas.

I heard about this guy some time ago.
I will be talking to him for sure.
I just dont know if i can part with my baby long enough for him to make the holster.
The last time i let my .40 out of my possession i never saw it again. all i got back was a check.
However i know this guys boss.lol

Troy is a bad ass! He made me an OWB for my 1911 (ran it at the Carry Gun match last weekend)

This holster is called "COC" and here is the description from his website. Check out the last line

"..it's Covert Overt Carry. This is our most versatile holster. Born in a pancake style, this holster is two sheets of Kydex bonded via eyelets. The user configures the holster via attaching kydex loops through the eyelets. Loops on the back, and you have OWB. On the front, IWB. And some of my SWAT buddies are lashing it to their kit, via 550 cord thru the eyelets. SWAT guys love their 550 cord. Besides, this holster has a high CDI Factor (yeah, chicks dig this holster)."

OMG I having a little trouble waitting for monday so i can shoot that M&P.
I think i may need to go to the range tonight.
Going to pickup a colt 44 mag in edmond, might just take the M&P with some rounds

Your's that does look cool.

small semi or j frame in the pocket, The Smart Carry works pretty well but would be pretty slow. With pocket carry, you can play pocket pool until you're ready to whip it out.
