Carry choice w/ suit

If I can't wear my ball cap, I ain't goin! I could go without my wallet and phone before my hat.

My roommate would carry an LCP or something in his front pocket in a pocket holster when wearing slacks or a suit. Looked like a wallet or folded envelope. He tried wearing an IWB holster with a Khar PM40 and I think a full-size m&p 40, but the LCP seemed to be most concealed. He worked in a Christian bookstore and claimed he was afraid that God hating psychos and terrorists would storm the store to burn it down. Lol

I don't wear a suit....

and anytime I would have I wasn't licensed to carry at that time.

now I will still carry if I ever need to wear one again

Well the few times that I have had to wear a suit since being licensed to carry, I carry my same Glock 22 but I will put it in my Galco Shoulder rig, I could carry in my EDC holster, but I really like the shoulder holster. lol

I wear a suit every Sunday to church, and occasionaly on Wed. night as well. I usualy carry my G17 in a SERPA. If you don't button the jacket you can usualy get away with a lot.

I kinda have the "need to shuck the jacket problem" ... especially when the weather warms up in the Fall or Spring.

Pocket carry means you always have a gun. When's it cold enough I know the jacket will stay on... bigger gun -pancake holster or IWB.

That being said... I have had a suit or sport coat on about 10 times in the last 5 years.

I carry my LCP in my sock when I wear my jogging suit out to the clubs. You wnat to be careful with wasitband carry in joggers. Just ask Plaxico.

I haven't worn a suit since this!!!

How many people do you think would have an issue who don't work at the Reed Center, Burk? :D

I'm wearing my fullsize IWB so I guess we'll find out at lunch.

I am facing the same issue, though not a suit, but business casual in gun hostile environment (No knifes, no guns, etc) but there are a lot of gun owners also that kinda of know what a wallet in the front pocket means.

I am leaning towards a smartcarry. I am also looking at covert 511's. I will probably get one to try out and see if I get any comments.

My current carry gun shows in a smartcarry, the grip makes a small bump right below the belt. So I would need something smaller. Now to research some single stack compacts....

I wear a suit or slacks three days a week not counting church and a Sig P238 is always in my front pocket. I always take my jacket off in the office so waistline carry is out. I have learned that certain brands of slacks have deeper pockets that work better for carry.

J frame in a ankle holster works great in those situations where I need to take the coat off in warmer weather and business casual. Keltec P3AT in a small leather holster that also holds an extra mag fits nicely in the back pocket. Not a lot of knock down power but I can make keep their head down while they figure out "No easy targets HERE"!

I would and do definitely change my carry gun based on the dress for the occasion. I usually go with a small, flat auto for dressy occasions, such as my SA Ultra Compact. It doesn't print much under even a long t-shirt. If on the belt is out, I go with the S&W BG380. Fits right into a back pocket(or front for that matter) and gave me the excuse to get another gun.
