Some of you like me have bought guns from people online, and in forums.
My question is if you bought it from a individual, and asked them when was the gun made, and there reply is I purchased the gun in 2013, and then I sold it to you in 2015. So then it's my turn to sell the gun, and the buyer of the gun says when was the gun made? I tell them the guy I bought it from said he got it in 2013 so I assume it is a 2013 model. Then you get a text message saying I emailed STI, and they said the gun was made in 2010, and wants to know why I was not honest with him??? Who knows how many of those guns were bought from that certain FFL/company, and how long they set on the shelf before being sold or whatever? So my question is it my fault for not doing the research and finding out exactly when the gun was made or not?

I don't see how you were not honest with him. You told him what you knew and didn't try to bullshit him. If he wanted to do the extra research good for him. Who really cares when it was made anyway. Round count and how it was taken care of mean more to me.

After the hour long conversation with the dude explaining all the details, he's bitching about the year the frame was produced? It's a custom job, who cares when the frame was made?

I read on the internet that 2011 should be good for a hundred k rounds. So who cares when the frame was produced. It's all about the round count which everyone but me lies about anyways.

BTW,Anybody need any once fired brass?

Here's how I see it, did you tell him everything you knew about the pistol? seems like it, did he agree to the terms and was there anything about an inspection in the deal? I like to be sure the other party is happy with the deal and don't lie about things so if everything was put out on the table and both parties agreed then sounds like buyer remorse! if this is the case tough shat buttercup in my eyes. I'm thinking if the production date is so important WHY was it not brought up prior to the purchase? it would have been just as easy to have ask and it could have been confirmed PRIOR to the transaction.

I don't think you did anything wrong Feegee from what I've read for what it's worth. Later,

Kirk

thanks bud. You need to come by the house

He must be mad at something else besides the "date". thats what happens with you buy a used whatever and dont know elephant dung about them. drive on, feegee.

You didn't do anything wrong. "Buyer beware" so to speak. If he wanted something more than what you told him, that's on him. Now go enjoy your new gun!

Everybody knows that Metallurgy changes drastically every year and the carbon striations from a frame built in 2010 would vary greatly from 2013. At least that's what Robusto always tells me...
