Buying a G35. Gen 3 or 4?

Im going to pick up a G35 sometime in the next couple of weeks to turn into a limited gun. My question to those of you in the know, should I go Gen 3 or Gen 4? I know there are some pretty big changes from the 3 to the 4 but which one would be best to modify or does it matter? Ive done a little searching and seems almost everyone is making magwells for the Gen 4 now and I have found a couple places making guide rods as well. So which one 3 or 4?

Just bought a 34. I went with a gen 3 just because I knew i would be able to find all the aftermarket stuff I wanted. Wasn't sure about the 4 knew the 3 was solid and proven.

I purposely didn't research the gen 4 so I wouldn't want one. Lol!

You can always find sweet barely used gen 3 G35's in Enos with all the goodies ready for limited in the $700-800 range. That's how I bought all mine but the first one.

Yeah I thought about that but I would have to save up a little longer to swing something like that. Like everything else this is going to have to be pieced together a little at a time
