Bullets

I don't know an exact number but I would guess quite a bit. i can find out if you want. JW might know?

Its worth looking into I would think. You would think they could sell it to someone to use rather than just scrap.

Jermey Moore just sent me a message about buying it

Yeah I text him asking what it's worth. He started asking scary questions about cleaning, sorting, etc. Then I started thinking maybe it needs to go through a professional first and we just get a deal on it once its cleaned and sorted.

Find out the annual weight so we can do the math on this deal.

We are now at 1130 members, January 2012 we were at 520 members, so I would expect this number (500-600 lbs/ month) to increase substantially.

Any idea the average wieght of a 5 gallon bucket of unsorted brass cases? Are the .22 cal cases small enough that they dont get picked up easily, or would they materially contribute to the weight?

Jonathan, would you agree the bulk of the brass will be 9mm, 40 & 45 cal? That is my primary interest. Eventually I might start reloading 5.56/223 which likely contributes as well and I'm happy to build up some inventory for future use. Would you venture a guess as to how much volume those 4 calibers would have in a typical bucket? Because if those 4 make up at least 75% of the weight, know I would pay scrap prices to save my failing back from having to bend over or crawl around on my hands and knees to pick up my spent cases.

For that matter, I would be happy to take my handy dandy case sorting tray kit over and do a basic sort into seperate buckets and pay for what I need. If the academy doesn't have a scale, I will contribute one. If USSA gets paid either way, seems like a nice service to allow the reloaders to purchse the brass that would otherwise be melted down. Hate to hear perfectly good brass cases being sold for scrape when it could be recycled several times.

5 Gallon Bucket is 70-80 lbs of brass. Majority is 9mm and 5.56/.223 round about 75-80% of a 5 gallon bucket, .22 brass does get picked up as well. The rest of the 20-25% would be .40 .45 and .22.

elephant dung that;s outta my league on sorting and cash. I'd love to take some of it off their hands but probably not worth their time.

Prior to Jan 2012 we were just word of mouth, started our marketing strategy by guess what, Advertising, who would have thought. Radio ads, news slots, electronic billboards and the all mighty FB Blasts. Been a long hard road this past year, but greatness is on the horizon.

Less I forget the great BOOMERSHOOTER

Awesome! I need to email Brian Hll back about the 2013 USSA Sponsorship this week.

If there is anything we can do to keep that membership growing let us know. I like the class info and announcement post on here. Treat us like your own personal website. Put anything and everything you have on here. I'd love to see some student class reviews here. Those tend to generate a lot of conversation about the classes and the range which always help.

2013 USSA Sponsorship? Sounds interesting indeed.
Brian should also be doing the 3GN Contract as well.

Thanks again Jesse, I'll see what we can come up with.
I appreciate all that TEAM USSA does and stands for. Great being a part of something greater than yourself, that being said thank you all for a great 2012.
2013 stands to be our biggest year yet.

USSA had a Forum Sponsorship for 2012 which is the largest package we offer. It gives the Academy its own forum, more frequent banner ad rotation, that cool little .jpeg logo next to the forum of their choosing, and the USSA logo on the BoomerShooter jerseys of which we have over 50 shooters from 10 or so states wearing.

I think its a pretty good partnership. I hope Brian feels the same way I do about it. Charles Peters was the one who pushed the sponsorship last year so hopefully Brian will do the same.

I got this from Black Bullets today. I don't think a 10% or 7% discount warrants the 2nd largest logo on the jersey. What do you guys think.

With all of the panic
buying lately we are running on a 2 week cycle and all orders are filled and
shipped within 2 weeks - I hope this is not an issue. A couple of conditions
will exist:

1. Payments from the team must be made by certified check or
money order - no credit cards. At a 10% discount level a credit card takes an
additional 3% out of the margins. I can setup a code for credit card use that
will be 7% as well.

2. Sponsorship will start when shirts are approved and completed
for the team. Both Techwear and G2 have the BBI logo package. I will need a
roster of the shooters.

3. The BBI logo must be the 2nd largest logo on the shirt.
