Exploring options here--Anyone know a gunsmith in the Tulsa area who can either modify a Browning HP or install an after market hammer so it doesn't gnaw on the web of my hand? My particular HP is vicious enough that I rarely shoot it. I know about high-end places like Cylinder and Slide, but they're so darn expensive that for what they charge to modify a pistol you could just buy a new Glock or M&P. Open to suggestions. Thanks!

If your handy at all... a partial bob may take care of the bite. C&S may sell a hammer and sear they have pre- fitted and sell as "drop in parts". Hammers require a little fitting to the sear- similar to what the job would be in a 1911

It's been a long time (like the early 90's) since I had a HP...

never had trouble with hammer bite myself.
