Over the past few days there have been a bunch of issues floating around in the internet forum gun world her in Oklahoma. These issues have lead to disagreements, finger pointing, hateful comments, name calling and a lot of other time consuming negativity. We all joined one or more of the Oklahoma based shooting forums because we have one thing in common - our passion for guns. While we realize that we all may not see eye to eye on one or more of the topics that have been brought up lately we do all see eye to eye on our 2nd amendment rights. While we sit here and fight with each other there are organizations out there trying to strip us of the very thing that we are so passionate about. We would like to find a way for all of us to be on the same side. We do not have to be best friends but we would like to stop all of the negativity and focus on our common love of guns. If there was any harm done to anyone from our actions we 100% apologize and vow it will not happen again. We would like to thank our members for defending us and we would also like to apologize for any hateful or untrue things that our members may have said in our defense. We should also like to ask that our members follow our lead and stop the negative and harmful behavior now.

Furthermore, if there was anyone that felt they were mislead by the donation giveaway that we started, we apologize. We tried from the beginning to be 100% upfront and honest. Our intent was not to mislead anyone but to help. Thank you for your time and happy shooting.

i'm all about some blops.... no, i have tried everything, trust me the guys over at AVS have given me a ton of help...although i did just start crysis 2.. pretty good so far, nice to have something different..

I guess I missed all of this because I have no idea what happened or what you're talking about, but there is no room for grudges or feuds in a community that is as under-siege as the shooting community. It's good that you're working to diffuse the situation and get everyone back on the right track.

I think you guys provide an awesome service at boomershooter, and I love having a one-stop place to check for matches, results, and on-topic discussion. I appreciate what you guys are doing for our sport.

Yes Jesse, this is good to see. I'm sure I don't know all the details...

You are right that we should all be standing together, and this was a truly sad thing to watch happen in my mind. Probably the foremost reason I enjoy our sport is the people and their willingness to help everybody out. It's just sad that some act like 5th graders and lower themselves to shoveling the crap that they did towards another shooter. Adults should know better.

Glad to see it all come to an end. Hopefully...

I do have to say, I haven't been on many of the sites for the last three days due to work requirmeents, and from what I can see, there have been posts made, and posts deleteted.

To me, the original intent of the give-away was for support of a shooting event.
With some current events, the admin of this site decided to give 1/2 of the proceeds to a person/family that has fallen on bad times for reasons out of their control. They reached out to other members of the 2A community.

I'm having a hard time understanding the reasoning of some to disagree with this decision.

Personally, its a win for both areas, in the way its been handled so far. Officer Peery, gets help for his situation, and the shooting community gets a boost as well.

I don't see a negative in either scenerio, and some of you know more about this than this post puts out.

As a shooting/gun owning community it saddens me to see the fractionalization this issue has brought about.
I hope we can all get by the problems in the future and exist as one.
If we don't we will be surely conquered.
