Lake Of The Ozarks, awesome area.
.
That's an understatement. Lake if the Ozarks/Osage beach is a Midwestern vacation destination for the rich and famous.

My suggestion would be to get a group of 4-15 boomershooters together and rent a lake side house for the weekend. It's cheaper than a hotel and way way nicer. Vacation rentals by owner, VRBO.com has done awesome places.

I would be up for this! I would even RO to allow my son to shoot without having the hassle of sharing gear.

Due to an abundance of requests the Generation III Gun Championship application will be posted tomorrow afternoon. We anticipate the match to fill very quickly. We will be taking applications based on post mark date. So don't hesitate to get your application in ASAP and join us in beautiful Lake of The Ozarks next fall.

We have decided to run the match as a two day 8 stage match. Competitors will shoot a half day format on Friday September 5th and Saturday September 6th

We don't have a website up just yet. It will definitely be posted here. We have a spot on the application for the shooter and a parent/guardian. We want to make sure all juniors get in and that they have their patent/guardian with them. You both need to fill out an application but we wanted to be sure mom or dad didn't just have to watch their junior have all the fun.

It was either Friday/sat or sat/sun. We choose the former to allow a day afterwards for potential shooting to allow for the possibility of rain or whatever curve ball might be thrown at us. For those that are close enough to drive home after the match it will cost you an extra day off work for travel before the match but for those that have to travel from afar it is a wash on days off. Sat/sun requires Friday and Monday for travel. With fri/say shooting travel will be possible in Thursday/Sunday.

Look at it this way. The area is a resort town. You will want to get there early and stay longer to enjoy the town.

On VRBO is Osage beach the closest area to the match?

Osage beach or lake of the ozark. we stayed around the other side of the lake and it only takes 15-30 minutes to get out there.

I live at the Lake and would be glad to help anyone who has questions. Osage Beach and Camdenton are the closest towns. Lake Ozark connects to Osage Beach to the North and would be a third option. Sunrise Beach and Laurie would be my last choice, having to either come south through Camdenton or go across the toll bridge into Lake Ozark to get to the range on A Road. In any case, there are tons of options.
The premium spot would be in the KK area of Osage Beach...night life and shopping close by. 10 minutes to the range.
A couple of tips; Willows is a great restaurant right on A road a mile before the Zeman property where the match is being held, run by 3 sisters..excellent food. Wobbly Boots remodeled the old Shoney's and is a great BBQ joint. They are off Passover road next to the new Dierbergs grocery store and Dicks Sporting goods. All the chain restaurants are around the 54-42 junction in Osage Beach. Jesse can tell you where the hot nightspots are.

Anyone interested in ROing please send us a PM, email or a note with your application. We expect to have a bunch of Juniors so we would love to have some experienced RO's to help them enjoy themselves.

If I sign up I'll volunteer to RO. Won't know until after the end of the year, as late as February. A few things have to fall into place.

If I do it I may have my older daughter shoot the match.
