Thank you,
If I mite add, even a well made production Gun can continue to have Glitches beyond it's breaking period.
But once a competent certified 1911 gunSmith gets a hold & redeems it's issues you shouldn't have a problem.
(Provided it's warranty is expired).

A word of Credit I will shower upon, to NightHawk custom.
One Gun Builder,One Gun policy.
But, yes, $ your gonna pay 3k Plus.

Buy Once, Cry Once , the Joy of Owning & training with Great 1911 will never be replaced or duplicated.
Recreation aside ,It's just another exceptional Tool in the Arsenal of Freedom.

Myself & Betsy welcome you. She is quite old, born in 1917 & I born in 1951 however it was a marriage made in heaven.
Of all the Colt 1911s I have from 1917 to 2011, Berty is my first & favorite. Look at an old 1911 made by colt & you will see manufacturing perfection. My 1917 & 2 1918s are great examples of how a 1911 should be built. 8000 45 Acp rounds without a hiccup I take that over
any Glock.

Welcome from Virginia. My first introduction to the famous 1911 was back in USCG bootcamp in the late 70's in Cape May, NJ. The variation I was given, was old, beatup, and rattled, shook, and made me fear that it would fall apart in my hand!

But that wasn't the case.... I relaxed, calmed down, "man'd up" (as they say), and qualified with it. Nothing finer than a well used, well lubricated, 1911-A1 .45 ACP

I was lucky to be able to Qualify in 1984 the 1911a1s last year of Service.
