Getting geared up for the night time zombie match.

I have a streamlight TRL-1 on a Glock and a couple of Crimson Trace Rail Masters I can mount on a pistol or rifle. I'm Just curious what's on your gun and why? What is the biggest baddest brightest pistol and rifle light you can buy?

I'm gonna have an x300 on my rifle and an x300 on my M&P. I had a TLR-1 on my rifle for the ar15targets night match, and the constant on switch didnt have enough retention to stay activated, so I had to hold it down, which is when I found out the non-strobe model I had ordered had been programmed as a strobe model. I started a pretty sweet rave in the middle of the desert. I sent that one back to the factory and had it reprogrammed, then sold it and now have two x300s.

I'm putting a crimson trace light guard on my pistol or the zombie match with a sure fire millennium on my AR. I'm also going to bust out my streamlight head lamp.

Well all I can say is don't go too bright or you will wash out your target in too bright a light. Around 135 lumens without definet center is best. This works great out to 150 or so with a red dot or out to 100 or so with irons without being too bright inside on a pistol or rifle.

Kurt, I never really thought about that. I was watching a video last night comparing the light guard to the tlr1 and that's why I chose the CT. The stream light shot a really bright 1' circle on the guys wall at maybe 15 feet. All you could see was light and not what it was pointed at. The CT was more of a large mellow circle.

hmm good to know, i would have never even thought about it, i have a tendency to think (when it comes to pretty much anything), bigger is always better...
