try to read every day, see these verses and think of you Preppers!!

Matthew 24
The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age
3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, ?Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age??

4 And Jesus answered and said to them: ?Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ?I am the Christ,? and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all[a] these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9 ?Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name?s sake. 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

The Great Tribulation
15 ?Therefore when you see the ?abomination of desolation,?[c] spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place? (whoever reads, let him understand), 16 ?then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect?s sake those days will be shortened

is it ok to post these?

Matthew 24
40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left.

Matthew 25
25 ?Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, 4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps

29 ?For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away

42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink

i can't help it...the more i read the Bible..the more i want to "prep"
i went to the Pig for $5 worth of stuff, and bought $75 worth of stuff "just to have"

sometimes an explaination is neccesary, as in verse 22 "unless the days be shortened, but for the elect the days shall be shortened'

over my head.

im not prepped for the coming of Christ, well i am but thats not prepping, thats salvation. prepping is for the troubles man or nature may cause before the Revalation. if we are saved then do we fear the end of the world as the Bible says?

The verses in Matthew 24 have actually already happened with the sacking of Jerusalem in 70 AD. Jesus was prophesying about that, not necessarily the events surrounding His Second Coming.

It's interesting to note that historically, an amillenial view of the book of Revelation has been more prominent as opposed to the Dispensational, pre-tribulation rapture that most of us are familiar with.

Amillenialism holds that the book of Revelation need not be interpreted literally, but metaphorically, so that the struggle between good and evil in Revelation is the essence of the Christian life and the history of redemption. Also, there is no speak of a rapture of the church. There's a whole lot more that goes into this discussion about the end times than just the end times, like covenants and the identity of the people of God, but I won't bore you with it, or hijack this thread.

yeah, i just posted enough verses in case whether someone was "on the fence" about prepping, that they would start stocking up on stuff.

it's amazing to me the "gospel" is the "good news"....but in reality, there's a lot of warnings in there about bad stuff coming.

i stock piled some more stuff last night

I find it interesting who the Bible and life follow so closely (not trying to create a debate on that subject). But, look at society as a whole throughout history. Prior to war and bad times similar things have happened in most society. Mainly prepping.

Look at the sales of guns, survival equipment, silver/gold and self defense schools and products. All are going through the roof. Is it mass paranoia? I hope it is but history shows the same trend. It would be different if it was a group of mountain men in Montana. But this has been a national push.
